news-details

Urk, The Netherlands - The latest addition to the Braveheart fleet will sail into the Netherlands within the coming days. The Braveheart Spirit is a so-called modern offshore survey / IRM / support vessel and will become the largest and most advanced vessel of Braveheart Marine. It makes it possible to work further from the coast, offshore and offer more hydrographic survey services.

The number of requests for projects further from the coast (offshore) has increased in the last few years. Jelle Hakvoort, CEO at Braveheart Marine, explains: "In these requests, we saw the opportunity to expand our services. Our new vessel brings those opportunities to life. It is an upgrade in all aspects. It's not just about the size of the vessel, but also the survey  equipment, functionality and crew."

New possibilities - This Dutch flagged DP2 vessel is over 70 meters long, has a large aft deck, crew accommodation for 52 persons, and will receive the latest survey technology. The size of the vessel, the powerful diesel-electric engines, and the high-end survey equipment make it the ideal vessel for subsea service industry, the expansion of the offshore oil & gas and offshore wind markets.

Complete refit - The vessel is  refitted into a high-end hydrographic survey ship. It is equipped with the latest technology, modern accommodation and is ready for further expanses of our services in the future. The vessel provides us with so many new possibilities. She will add a new Spirit to our fleet!

Under contract - We are pleased to announce that Braveheart Marine, has entered into an agreement with N-Sea Group for long term charter. N-Sea Group will have the vessel under management and control, except the crew organization, this will be under management of Braveheart Marine. Jelle Hakvoort, CEO at Braveheart Marine: “We are thrilled with this long-term charter and look forward to a long-term successful partnership.”

Braveheart Marine is active in the offshore survey market. The company conducts hydrographic surveys with specialized equipment and maps the bottom of the sea. The existing fleet operates in wind farm construction, the oil- and gas industry, dredging, salvage support, and mapping (sea)ports. Braveheart Marine is focused on the future, making further inroads into new fields of expertise.
